Njala University has entered into a landmark partnership with Afrimoney, the mobile money subsidiary of Africell, as part of its bold digital transformation drive aimed at modernizing financial and administrative operations.
A bold move to deepen digital inclusion and economic empowerment in Sierra Leone has seen Africell partner with MiKashBoks to launch the ‘Save to Buy’ initiative, a savings-based program that enables customers to gradually pay for Samsung smartphones and other digital products. The launch event took place on Wednesday, 30th July 2025, at Africell’s Headquarters on Pivot Street, Wilberforce, Freetown. Speaking at the event, Joe Abass Bangura, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Africell, emphasized the importance of the collaboration, noting that Africell is the authorized representative of Samsung in Sierra Leone. He described the “Save to Buy” scheme as a flexible savings plan primarily targeted at Afrimoney subscribers who want to own a Samsung smartphone but may not have the means to pay the full cost at once.
